The following text is National board representative candidate
Oanh Ha’s letter to AAJA Asia

Dear AAJA Asia family,

It’s been a privilege for me to serve as your national board representative the past two years and be able to work with other passionate and committed members to develop and grow our chapter. In my role, I’ve advocated for the Asia chapter at the national board level, helped plan the N3 conference and helped strategize on how to serve members as we increase our footprint and visibility across Asia Pacific.

I’d like to spend the next two years helping our chapter continue its growth momentum, ensuring we meet the needs of a diverse membership and helping to develop media leaders in a time of change and transition within our industry.

I’ve been a part of the AAJA family since college and have been a passionate advocate of diversity in newsrooms and coverage. From my experience serving on the chapter board in San Francisco, I’ve been able to share best practices in developing our Asia chapter. I also bring two decades of experience in newspapers, radio and multi-platform journalism to the job, including my current role as an editor and news team leader at Bloomberg.

Thank you for your support and vote.
